Thanksgiving Prayer Service
Our whole school participated in the Thanksgiving Prayer Service by donating needed items for the
St. Vincent de Paul pantry of our parish. Each student brought up their donation to begin the prayer service. Mrs. Sparkman's 5th and 6th grade Composition classes then led the prayer service. A monetary donation was given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society representative to go towards the perishable items.
The prayers recited during the Thanksgiving Prayer Service were written especially for children. They guided children, of all ages, toward answers to questions about their relationship with God. Each simple prayer helped them talk to God about their problems. These prayers also helped children understand lessons that the Bible teaches. Every prayer followed a topic matching story from the Beginners Bible "First Book of Stories-Catholic Edition".
