The Fremont Junior Safety Patrol is a cooperative enterprise of the City of Fremont and Fremont schools to insure the safety of children going to and from school. Boys and girls of the Safety Patrol are authorized to direct traffic in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Fremont by appointment of the Chief of Police.
The Safety Patrol is organized and administered for the purpose of training boys and girls in leadership, responsibility, and civil cooperation; for the education in Safety and civil cooperation of all school children under the protection of the Fremont Junior Safety Patrol, and for the purpose of assisting the police department in safeguarding school children while streets in the vicinity of elementary schools in the City of Fremont.
The Safety Patrol was established specifically for traffic duty at Holy Spirit School in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the City of Fremont.
